Having a company name to open up an account with Fed-Ex get to enjoy the corporate rate and software provided for the online business. The Fed-Ex software will enable you to generate airway bill, commercial invoices, delivery status checking and reports. Only upon having an account number with Fed-Ex, they will provide the software and you will be able to register. They also accept enterprise type of company.
Personal account is possible, but no corporate rates and you need to have a credit card guarantee.
